Joshua Band is a Royal Oak based photographer who focuses on creating highly stylized fashion photography. His formal training in engineering brings logic, organization and focus to his work. His extended studies in art, design, and filmmaking have influenced his ambitiously creative trademark style. Band is an expert with both film and digital photographic mediums and has advanced understanding of dramatic studio lighting techniques. He enhances his shooting skills with his proficiency in post-production and retouching software.

His clients include Guess, Inc., Nestle Canada, Mars Advertising, InStyle Magazine, Spin Magazine/Spin.com, Ambassador Magazine, Real Detroit Weekly, MD News, J. Thomas, Uptown Photography, Mother Nursery, Poshh Boutique, Vivid Braille Clothing, Kate Bennett Fashions, Road Rash Rubber Fashions, Blair Grinn Fashions, Detroit Fashion Incubator, Liquid Salon, Palazzolo Salon, Le'Host Hair Group, Salon M, and Red Salon. He is looking to form relationships with both corporate and agency clients.

Band's photography has been seen as image of the day on Onemodelplace.com. He has been selected as 1st place B&W in 2006 for the Metro Times Annual Photography contest. His work has been on many Detroit-based coffeehouse and gallery walls.
